For the glory of God, the strengthening of the church, the encouragement of the Saints and the salvation of the lost- this is our hope and calling. As TLI has worked overseas to help provide theological training, they realized there was a huge need right here in our own backyard. 14% of America and 22% of Canada is made up of immigrants. Minneapolis alone has over 600 immigrant churches. Generally, these churches are more effective at reaching people of their own culture than established American churches, but often they are under-resourced. We have an unprecedented opportunity to reach the nations right here in our backyards! Most of these pastors are bivocational and do not have the time or money to receive theological training. This lack of training leaves immigrant churches just as susceptible to false teaching and spiritual decay.
